She also serves as Assistant Director for the William Baker Festival Singers and is Associate Choral Director at Grace & Holy Trinity Cathedral.
Trained to work with individuals who are experiencing vocal difficulties or recovering from vocal injury, Jamea is deeply committed to the care and development of each singer's voice. In the interest of keeping her skills and techniques up to date, Jamea can be found exploring the latest studies on how the brain works. She continually researches how we learn and process information, and how music affects all of our lives. Along with her husband, Jamea owns Professional Engineers, Inc. and in her spare time she loves hanging with her family, reading, gardening, cooking, traveling and visiting museums.
Highly creative, greatly supportive and continually challenging herself to find the best way to connect with each individual student, it is Jamea's belief that learning music should be truly enjoyable and nurturing to the intellect and spirit.
"I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music."--George Eliot
