Christy lives, breathes, and sweats Allegro. She laughs loudly and often, and is known to experiment with all sorts of crazy and unique teaching methods. Christy truly believes the bar of excellence can always be raised and expects the Allegro singerss to pursue greatness in all facets of their lives, not just in music!

Christy’s career highlights include Brio’s SWACDA performances in Dallas and St. Louis, the 2012 Brio White House performance and private performance for President and Mrs. Barack Obama, prepping and watching the yearly performances at the Kauffman Center with the KC Symphony. As an active clinician for children’s, youth, and treble choirs, she enjoys giving workshops on innovative rehearsing and is honored to conduct many state, regional, and national honor choirs.

Special Skills

Christy loves to cook, bake, and experiment with new recipes. Her famous chocolate chip cookies are a favorite of Allegro singers and staff. When her mind isn’t on Allegro, she loves to visit the beach, read, travel, play with her dogs, attend her kids’ events, catch for her daughter, workout and watch Northern Colorado softball, KU Basketball and the Kansas City Royals.
